Position Details

SUMMARY

With limited supervision, assists warehouse lending director in processing commercial loans and servicing warehouse clients by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Creates and maintains credit and legal files for the department within Bank policy and standards.
  • Assists in the booking of loans, including preparation of Loan Input Worksheets, inputting client information for new borrowers and guarantors, and copying documents for credit files as well as sending completed documents.
  • Reviews documents received from Warehouse lending clients to ensure information is accurate and complete. Track new client, renewal applications, and modifications from submission to underwriting, legal documentation, and booking.
  • Processes loan payments, fees, disbursements, and advances.
  • Works with the tracking and maintenance of financial reports, covenant management, annual reviews, and takeout investor review and approvals.
  • Prepares Commercial Loan Presentations and other documents necessary to present a loan for approval. Work with and interpret commercial term sheets, lending structures, and collateral.
  • Opens appropriate operating accounts for clients by loading information into Sales Force, the FIS Core system, preparing signature cards, banking resolutions and other bank agreements as required.
  • Follows up with clients to ensure services are set up in a timely manner and there are no audit or compliance issues.
  • Identifies cross-sell opportunities and makes the appropriate referral.
  • Processes internal fund transfers and outgoing wire transfers according to bank procedures. Other client service functions to include answering the phone.
  • Responsible to monitoring, testing, and reporting commercial loan compliance and covenants.
  • Assists the warehouse lending unit in the management of overdrafts, delinquencies, operational and loan losses within bank guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with completion of some college level studies preferred. Minimum five years 1-4 family mortgage warehouse credit experience or relevant commercial experience with the ability to create credit memos with the supplied documentation preferred. Has the ability to work directly with the banks commercial loan committee. PC proficiency in a Windows environment, particularly EXCEL and Word, required. Previous client service experience of at least one year. Understanding of commercial loan products, deposit products, as well as other bank products and services preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to effectively present information one-on-one, and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions, both orally and in writing, to commercial lenders, managers, clients, etc.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to comprehend and apply basic accounting principles.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
