Job purpose:

Quality Testers pressurize metal pipe stations administering air/nitrogen or hydrostatic testing depending on blueprint specifications, durations, and test pressure, using hand tools and impacts to cap off openings logging all passes and rejecting all fails.

Testers must be mechanically minded and efficient in the use of pressure testing equipment and safety requirements in order to perform assigned tasks in detecting and recognizing leaks/failures in fabricated stations in accordance with Company's Leak Detection Policies and Procedures.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Complete pre-start equipment check
  • Carry out pressure testing of fabricated stations in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Accurately maintain required tags, records and documentation for each project.
  • Responsibly manage consumable supplies and raw materials
  • Follow ALL corporate safety requirements and standards, including but not limited to the use of respiratory equipment, protective clothing, protective lenses/goggles, steel toed boots, etc.
  • Sustain a safe and clean assigned workstation
  • Safely operate forklift

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be able to read, speak, and understand English
  • Must be dependable in both attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to follow tasks safely and efficiently
  • Submit to pre-employment and random drug and/or alcohol tests as required by DOT

Scope:

ISCO Industries fabricates and delivers high quality meter and regulator sets to the natural gas delivery market in accordance with API 1104 standards.
