POSITION SUMMARY: To challenge and develop process mastery and energy efficiency in our plants by leading technical & operational advancements that contribute to reducing operating costs while enhancing product quality and ensuring environment compliance. Direct, coordinate, and exercise functional authority for planning, organizing, controlling, integrating, and completing process engineering projects within the area of responsibility. Provide technical support to plant personnel on new and existing processes and be an expert resource for information for the design and installation of all types of process equipment applicable to the lime/minerals manufacturing processes.

  • Able and willing to spend time in the plants working with the Operators, Supervisors, and Managers

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and technical writing skills

  • Proficient with Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, and Word

  • In-depth knowledge of the lime/minerals manufacturing processes including various kiln, milling, firing, stone preparation crushing/sizing & hydrator systems

  • Knowledgeable in all phases of process evaluation and equipment application

  • Working knowledge of process control, instrumentation, and automation

  • Proficient in statistical process control and data analysis

  • In-depth knowledge of environmental standards and control technologies

  • Physically able to access all areas required for testing of the process and emissions points, including confined spaces, ductwork, and vent stacks.

  • Ability to travel 50% to Lhoist sites.

Required Experience and Education: 5-7 years of process engineering. Lime, cement or minerals industry process experience strongly preferred.

A bachelor's in engineering.
