We are currently hiring for the following position:

Position:Production Flow Specialist (Material Handler) Night Shift
Location:12111 Ford Road, Dallas, TX 75234
Pay:$16.50 - $21.00 an hour, depending on experience, with a 5% shift differential for all hours worked on 2ndshift
Shift:Monday-Thursday, 10 hour/day, OT.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

  • Submits production-order staging requests to the Warehouse at least 24 hours in advance. Identifies material shortages and verifies correct quality-dispositions. Takes action to assure that work orders can be completed without interruption. This may require interaction with Planning, Purchasing, Quality management, and /or Warehouse personnel. Notifies manager of any issues that would result in interruptions.
  • Assures correct materials are staged to production in adequate supply by querying storage unit tags for the correct production order allocation. Identifies partially allocated pallet and reserves for goods issue at the end of the order.
  • Stacks finished product on pallets, completes documentation, uses SAP to perform goods receipt and move pallets to the appropriate warehouse locations.
  • Performs goods issues on raw materials as they are used on production orders.
  • Removes all unused materials from previous production orders during changeover, prior to staging new materials for the next order. Relocates in appropriate warehouse return locations on SAP per SOP/WI.
  • Operates and performs adjustments to tape machine.
  • Maintains clean orderly and safe working area. Weighs and documents hazardous waste and stages wastes per procedure. Assures Safe Work Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Central Life Sciences SOP(s) and/or Work Instructions are complied with during the performance of day-to-day duties.
  • Conducts inventory by location and makes required adjustments with approval of manager on a regular basis.
  • Additional responsibilities may include general production worker tasks.
  • Assures that forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. under their responsibility are properly cared for, periodically maintained per procedures and maintenance is notified when is not operating properly.
  • Loads bins, tables, etc. at proximity to assist with efficient packaging.
  • Identifies, segregates, and labels non-conforming product. Assures non-conforming products are inspected and reworked before taking product back to line. Appropriate documentation is included on PCR.

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Proven performance can be accepted in lieu of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic mathematical (multiplication, subtraction, division, addition) skill is required.
  • Candidate must successfully complete and subsequently comply with training in Good Manufacturing Practices, Plant Health and Safety Manual, ISO, SAP and Forklift operation.
  • Must be able to read, write and converse in English.
  • Teamwork oriented, self-starter, responsible, and exhibits good leadership skills. Work is conducted in a team environment; therefore, team members carry out assigned duties and the incumbent must actively participate to be effective in the job.
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack and rf gun and experience with SAP a plus.
  • Previous Material Handling experience is desired.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Must be agile as position requires extended periods on your feet, bending, stooping, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing facility.
