Summary:

Cook Children's Health Care System, based in Fort Worth, Texas, has initiated a national search for a BC/BE Plastic Surgeon who has fellowship training and a demonstrable proficiency in Hand surgery. In particular, one who hasinterest brachial plexussurgery and microsurgery.This is an opportunity to joina well-established team of three full-time and one part-time Pediatric Plastic Surgeonssupported by Advanced Practice Providers as they attend to patients presenting with the entire spectrum of simple and complex pediatric plastic diagnoses. Cook Children's is committed to securing a PlasticSurgeon whose professional, social, and economic interests would lend themselves to a long-term fit within the patient focused culture present within our institution, medical staff, and community.

Minimum qualifications

  • The applicant must have completed a recognizedhandspecialty training program (a case list is required), be board certified/board eligible in Plastic Surgery.

  • The applicant must also have, or be eligible to obtain, the CAQ in hand surgery.

  • Must be qualified to obtain an unrestricted Texas Medical License before commencing employment.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) required.

  • American Heart AssociationBLS and PALS.

  • Unrestricted Texas Medical license (must obtain prior to start date).

  • Must have successfully completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Medical Association (AMA) approved residency for pediatrics.

  • Board certified/Board Eligible in their specialty area.
