Demand Planners are important to CMC because they help drive customer satisfaction by ensuring SIOP considers customer and product needs and priorities. The Demand Planner works to create needed alignment between Sales and SIOP to arrive at a consensus view on the internal and external end customer shipment forecast - which is vital to ensure the company manages neededpredictabilitywithflexibilityto accommodate unexpected customer needs or changes in the marketplace.

What You'll Do
  • Develop detailed demand forecasts using statistical forecasting software
  • Analyze historical internal and external data
  • Utilize market trends and economic indicators to forecast longer-term demand
  • Analyze booking and backlog data to provide forward looking insights
  • Work cross functionally with sales, marketing, and business leaders to develop a consensus forecast for utilization in production planning
  • Develop both near, middle, and long-term demand forecasts using all available data
  • Present findings and trends with interpretation to business leaders and planners
  • Develop, measure, and report key performance metrics for individual use and management reporting
  • Continuously improve the forecasting process thru development and adoption of best practices
  • Prepare written reports and present demand information and recommendations
What You'll Need
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a demand planning role
  • Demonstrated proficiency in forecast methodologies
  • Industrial or Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Forecast Pro experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills with multifunctional teams in both commercial and operational areas
  • Ability to work cross functionally, multi-task, and prioritize work
  • Limited overnight travel required occasionally
Your Education
  • Bachelor's degree required
