What's the role?

The Manufacturing Manager directs and oversees pre-fabrication manufacturing workflow, as well as operational activities to include sequencing, staging, workforce planning and scheduling. This position leads and/or facilitates all efforts to strive towards on time deliver, customer with a focus on improving performance in the key areas of safety, efficiency, and quality.

What does the role involve?

  • Plan and schedule all phases of prefabrication including planning, scheduling, assembly, staging, and execution.
  • Manage the daily production schedule.
  • Direct and oversee job assignments and plan daily labor schedules; participate in budget preparation, revenue and account analysis.
  • Maintain an appropriate performance management process for recommending promotions, wage increases, and terminations.
  • Work closely cross department with Distribution, Materials Management, Transport and MTO to ensure the consistently deliver upon the customers satisfaction.
  • Ensure all process are aligned with our Internal Control system (ICS) to fulfil the compliance prerequisites in the relevant areas.
  • Manage LEAN activities in the Engineering Service Cener to develop and maintain quality process improvements and supply chain efficiencies.
  • Ensure all processes are aligned with our Health &Safety policy, Health Safety Environmental guidelines and eliminate any potential risks or hazards.
  • Monitor the cleanliness and working condition of the Engineering Service Center and all equipment and oversee adjustments and/or repairs as necessary.
  • Audit operations to ensure service standards are being met.
  • Responsible for ensuring coverage of different shifts to enable the prefabrication process or the full operating hours of the Engineering Service Center.
  • Assist in ensuring the security of the facility, its environments, employees and contents, conduct regular instruction of established security practices.
  • Ensure delivery of relevant KPIs.
  • Manage the productivity in terms of system performance, cost center management, people management and operations identifying opportunities for cost reductions and potential new revenue streams.
  • Additional duties assigned.

What you need is:

  • Bachelor's Degree, required.
  • Bachelor's degree in operations discipline, preferred,
  • Lean Certification, preferred.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of production/pre-fabrication management or comparable experience required.
  • PC literate and have a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, SAP, required.
  • Excellent oral/presentation and written communication skills, required.
  • Adaptable business demands of complexity of multiple programs.
  • Ability to simplify and standardize connection details.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Regular heavy lifting of 50 + lbs.
  • Occasional heavy lifting up to 75 lbs. required.
  • Warehouse material handling equipment and truck loading / unloading.
  • Must be able to tolerate a variable climate, prolonged standing, repetitive bending and reaching, and climbing up and down ladders.
