General Purpose

Provide critical thinking, in depth data analysis and workplace solutions, The role will develop and execute capital projects, supporting processes, warehouse equipment and infrastructure, utilities, etc. to promote operational efficiency improvements, design, implement and fine tune processing, shipping & receiving, storage, slotting, operational flows and picking operations.

This role will work with projects engineers, IT and vendors to identify new or enhancements to existing facility equipment considering scope, need, volume and future state. Develop and evaluate new and existing processes and systems to efficiently use people, information, materials, and equipment. Depth knowledge in Automation and Digitalization.

The Warehouse Automation and Digital Engineer manages capital execution of projects in Combos, Distribution Centers, and Cross Docks, across Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages (CCSWB) in the areas of supply chain, innovation, capability, capacity, and process improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities

Participates in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans for Warehouse Equipment and Automated Solutions.
* Participates in the development criteria for and evaluation of equipment and warehouse technical suppliers and technical maintenance service providers.
* Develops acceptance tests and inspection criteria for warehouse equipment and automated solutions.
* Participates in the final check out of new installations. This includes factory and site acceptance testing that will ensure adherence to functional specifications.
* Design, analyze and manage complex human integrated systems such as supply chain systems, supply chain networks, and service system.
* Develop and evaluate new and existing processes and systems to efficiently use people, information, materials, and equipment to provide maximum efficiency, effectiveness, throughout and safety.
* Lead implementations of innovation and digitalization projects, ensuring the operational continuity and level services improvement.
* Works with Warehouse Operations to perform analyses of assets including Asset Utilization, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Remaining useful life.
* Analyze problem process constraints and propose changes and solutions in warehouse processes, based in data analysis, procedures, and operational standards.
* Identify system opportunities, analyze, and propose changes and solutions in warehouse systems, based in impact analysis, procedures, and operational standards.
* Design of layouts and operational flows in warehouses to ensure the best practices and improve productivity through optimizing time travels and the picking slotting to reduce times in order builder process. And guarantee safety operation and quality product handling according to the standards.
* Provide analysis based on data driven decision making, including effective collection, and monitoring of metrics used to assess, prioritize, and select improvement projects.
* Development of project plans, estimation of costs, coordination of vendors, and execution of project through to start-up at agreed to performance levels (time, cost, line performance, etc.).
* Collaborate, determine, and estimate an accurate labor headcount by site level for all sites of CCSWB, for front line positions with the use of historical performance metrics, volume of sales, and standards to obtain a reliable data analysis.
* Collaborate with manufacturing, commercial, engineering, maintenance, transportation, fleet, HR, quality, safety and other areas regarding warehouse capabilities, services schedules, product handling, inventory availability, and equipment availability.
* Promotes and adheres to GPM, 5S standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Develop and execute business cases, estimate investment, potential benefits, savings, IRR, payback for the CAPEX initiatives.
* Evaluate the existing facilities and capabilities in the warehouse operations to determine investment priorities according to the operational needs to provide good service levels ensuring quality, safety, and GMPs according to AC CCSWB standards.
* Sustain a consistent long-term vision through continuous process improvement while developing a culture that embraces operational excellence.
* P
romote improvement projects through work teams that allow increase productivity services levels, quality, safety among others.
Develop cost and timing estimates for the business case development of large projects.

Qualifications

A. Education:
* Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field required. Master's Degree preferred.
B. Experience:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in supply chain, warehouse management, engineering or equivalent.

* Experience evaluating, developing, and implementing digital tools.

* Experience evaluating, developing, and implementing automation equipment.

* Strong management and leadership experience required.

* Ability to work independently to develop project scopes, schedule meetings, coordinate contractors and consulting and consulting, modifying actions as necessary to maintain schedules, expenditures, and other activities necessary for project management.

* Deeply knowledge of software applications: (SAP, AutoCAD, Data banks (Craft, BI, BO, Snowflake, others), etc.

* PC Proficient in MS Office

* Bilingual in Spanish preferred

* Project management experience preferred.
