Summary

The Maintenance Manager at DSV Road Transport will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance for our trucking fleet, including preventative maintenance, repairs, and fleet optimization. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in truck maintenance, and a proactive approach to maintenance planning and execution.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the trucking fleet.
  • Manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing leadership, guidance, and training as needed.
  • Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize fleet availability.
  • Coordinate regular inspections of trucks and equipment to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to procure parts, supplies, and services necessary for maintenance operations.
  • Develop and manage maintenance schedules to optimize the lifespan and performance of trucks and equipment.
  • Monitor and analyze maintenance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement cost-effective maintenance strategies to minimize expenses while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies related to maintenance, safety, and environmental protection.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and logistics, to support overall business objectives and customer satisfaction.

Educational background / Work experience / Qualifications

  • 5+ years of proven experience in truck maintenance, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel equipment, electrical systems, hydraulics, and other trucking equipment.
  • Excellent leadership and communications skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Familiarity with maintenance software systems for scheduling, inventory management, and reporting.
  • Understanding of safety regulations, FMCSA, and DOT.

Language Skills

  • Business fluent in English
  • Preferably good command of local language

Computer Literacy

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and others)

Physical and/or Mental Requirements / Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is often required to walk and use hand and eye coordination. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Hours and Environment

Normal working hours for this position are Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, however, working beyond these hours will often be required by business needs.

For this position, the expected base pay is:$77,500- $116,500/ Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
