FOUNDATION OVERVIEW: PGA of America REACH Foundation is the dynamic and growing charitable organization for the PGA of America focused on impacting lives through the game of golf in the areas of youth, Veterans, inclusion and access. We are committed to making a meaningful difference in the United States by leveraging the power of PGA of America Golf Professionals, our 41 Sections and the game of golf.

JOB SUMMARY: The Executive Director is the top management leader of the PGA of America REACH Foundation based in Frisco, TX at the home of the PGA of America. The role primarily involves overseeing the administration, fundraising strategy, programs, financial performance and strategic plan of the organization. Other responsibilities include marketing, and community outreach. The Executive Director reports to the Chief Commercial Officer of the PGA of America.

As a member of the senior management team, this position will work closely with senior leaders to achieve the Foundation's vision and goals by providing high level industry knowledge and strategic options and solutions that drive organizational objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):

Leadership and Management: Provide inspired leadership and direction to all staff including the Sr. Director, Development and Sr. Director, Impact and ensure the ongoing development and management of a professional and efficient 501(c)3 organization.

Strategic Vision and Planning: Develop, maintain, and support the PGA of America CEO, Chief Commercial Officer, Board of Directors and a powerful group of Foundation Trustees; seek and build Association executive leadership and board involvement with strategic direction for ongoing operations.

Fundraising and Financial Performance: Lead and develop resources sufficient to ensure the financial health of the organization including day-to-day oversight of the Foundation's annual budget, endowments, cash flow, reserves and monthly financial reporting and yearly 990 statement.

Cultivate, ask, and steward the organization's most impactful individual, foundation and corporate supporters through a portfolio and process curated by the Sr. Director, Development.

Organization Operations: Oversee and implement appropriate resources to ensure that the operations of the organization are appropriate under the direction of the Sr. Director, Impact.

Align national mission and vision with 41 PGA of America Sections and the more than 20 Section Foundations that have adopted the PGA of America REACH Foundation name.

Program Development and Administration: Ensure effective systems to track scaling progress, and regularly evaluate program components across the Foundation's four pillars to measure successes that can be effectively communicated to the board, funders, and other constituents.

Community and Public Relations: Enhance PGA of America REACH Foundation's image by being active and visible in the community and by working closely with other professional, civic, and private organizations.

Travel to attend and support REACH events, fundraising activities and governance functions will be an integral part of the role.

SUPERVISION:

This is a supervisory position responsible for the performance management and hiring of employees within the department. Position direct reports include, but may not be limited to:

Senior Director, PGA REACH Impact

Senior Director, Development

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:

Responsible for the preparation and oversight of PGA REACH budget and for monitoring results.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Business or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Masters degree preferred.

Ten or more years of experience demonstrating transparent and high integrity leadership

Five or more years of senior nonprofit management experience.

Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to the nonprofit sector.

Strong financial acumen including 501(c)3 budget planning, endowment oversight and IRS 990 Annual Statement preparation.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Must have knowledge of Salesforce. Working knowledge of Google Workspace.

Leadership: Ability to lead inclusively and influence across the organization while successfully cultivating cross-functional teamwork.

Travel required approximately 25% per year.
