Regional Sales Manager (Southeast)

Location: Remote, US. Ideal candidate will reside in the Southeast territory preferably in Georgia.

Job Overview:


The Regional Sales Manager for the Southeast region (AL, GA, and SC) is a key leader who is responsible for creating and executing on a regional business development action plan while managing a team of high performing sales professionals to achieve and exceed revenue quota. This person will be responsible for both new business origination and renewals, accurate forecast performance, development and nurturing of customer relationships, and providing leadership for major strategic education market K-12 accounts.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage regional strategy to gain access for new business, while sustaining and expanding existing partnerships.

  • Track and manage state education policy across the region to nurture and develop state partnerships.

  • Set clear performance goals while coaching, developing and reviewing results.

  • Analyze account development and service priorities to maximize productivity and eectiveness.

  • Travel with sales representatives to meet with district and school leaders; develop and maintain a broad network of customer relationships.

  • Support sales representatives throughout the sales process - from new account development to preparing presentations & price quotes and responding to RFPs.

  • Drive new sales and expansions in priority district accounts.

  • Manage regional events to ensure they are planned, staed and executed to maximize return on investment.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; Advanced degree preferred.

  • 5-10+ years of success selling into K-12 school districts highly preferred, preferably representing a technology and curriculum (reading) based product highly preferred.

  • Experience as a proven sales leader and managing a highly collaborative team.

  • Proven ability to inspire, model, mentor, give feedback for, and coach highly-skilled sales professionals.

  • Experience with Lexia products preferred.

  • Deep knowledge of the South Eastern US states in K-12 education; Educator/Administration experience a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to uncover client needs and propose solutions to close new business opportunities and exceed revenue targets.

  • Procient user of CRM (Salesforce), MS Office and Google Suites, video conferencing software and other technology-based productivity tools.

  • Proven analytical, writing, speaking and presentation skills.

  • A demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional presentations and written proposals to both groups and individuals.

  • Proven ability to develop customer relationship and collaborate with management on strategies to achieve revenue goals.

  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
