Reports To: Director of Nursing

Department: Medical Command Contact Center

Location: Lewisville, Texas

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary:

Access2Care is seeking Clinical and Quality Assurance Supervisor to provide overall clinical & non-clinical training for staff and providers, lead clinical training initiatives for the team in collaboration with Medical Command Center Contact Center team and trains staff in use of internal and external electronic systems. This trainer focuses on; providing clinical mentoring and support for Medical Command Center Contact Center clinical and non clinical staff.

This position is also responsible for conducting Quality Assurance activities to comply with Access2Care, client, and CMS requirements. Execute assigned tasks and/or phases of project plan; monitor and report on progress. Share best practices and lessons learned to achieve improvement in health care delivery systems, processes, and outcomes. Contribute to training and mentoring other staff.

This RN will provide preceptor education and clinical workflow support for internal and external customers. These customers include health payors, 911 agencies, schools and universities, industry and remote patient monitoring companies throughout North America. Partnering with the Director of Nursing and the Medical Command Contact Center Manager, this position develops staff training for new customers, on going continuing education related to our customers and assist external stakeholders to understand our programs and processes. This position will also conduct customer workflow analysis and recommends education, quality and troubleshooting strategies, when needed, to help resolve customer issues.

Essential Duties:

  • Participate as an internal consultant to the Director of Nursing on issues including, but not limited to, clinical and quality metrics, staff performance, trends effecting our customers and department budget development.
  • Ensure successful clinical adoption of internal and external solutions
  • Interpret data to provide formal reporting of outcomes, recommendations and solutions
  • Lead regularly scheduled Quality Committee meetings
  • Lead education sessions for physicians, nurses, and other users
  • Provide consultative advice on education and solution best practices
  • Perform workflow analysis, provide consulting on workflow changes that need to occur with the implementation of new functionality solutions and validate post-go-live to resolve gaps or outstanding issues
  • Conduct live, in-person, onsite or remote training sessions for staff and clients
  • Design and prepare role based education plans to support the specific solutions being implemented
  • Coordinate logistics with department managers such as scheduling participants, tracking attendance, and developing assessment tools to best evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs
  • Develop or oversee the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, job aids and manuals
  • Configure training environment to prepare users for use in the classroom
  • Direct structured learning experiences and monitor for their quality results
  • Provide input to new hire training and ongoing user training during system changes and upgrades
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
  • Proven experience educating internal and external staff
  • Experience performing quality assurance programs for clinical and non clinical staff
  • EMS/Emergency Department experience preferred
  • Call Center experience preferred
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation and customer service metrics
  • Ability to work in highly complex, technical environments
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills with a problem-solving ability

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Licensing/Certification:

  • Current and valid Bachelor's degree in Nursing required, Masters preferred
  • Active RN license in good standing
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated clinical education/consulting experience in acute/non acute settings

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written, verbal)
  • Ability to measure and evaluate staff training and quality needs
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, leadership, and prioritization skills
  • Being self-motivated
  • Maintaining a flexible schedule to accommodate clinical hours for training
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques
  • Strong skills in using Microsoft tools as such as Visio, Teams, PowerPoint
